     I would agree with Spitfire.  The Legislature needs to quit handing out sales tax exemptions like Chirstmas Candy Canes.  Many times these orgs are very good for the community and they provide a very worthwhile service but they can and should carry some of the tax burden as well.  I wonder if CASA had a fire who would they call.................. the fire department of course which is funded by tax dollars and the friretrucks would drive over tax funded roads on their way to the fire.  Kansas has to increase the number of sales tax payers and lower the overall rate for everyone.  That is the responsible thing to do, not hand out exemptions because an organization comes and begs for a little slop from the big slop bucket we know as the Kansas State House.
