2008 Senate Bill 455 (Increase K-12 funding through high-enrollment weight)

  • Introduced in the Senate on January 22, 2008, to increase funding for K-12 education by changing the statutory formula to provide that for every $2 increase in the base state aid per pupil (BSAPP), the high enrollment weighting would be reduced by one pupil. Because BSAPP is already scheduled to increase next year by $59, the bill is estimated to cause additional spending that year by $14.4 million.
