  • Introduced in the House on January 28, 2008, to require all tax levies for school district construction projects to be authorized by a public vote. Currently, a local school board decision to approve such capital outlay projects is sufficient, although it can be challenged by a protest petition signed by 10 percent of the district's voters.
    • Referred to the House Education Budget Committee on January 29, 2008.
